Nearly there — check your inbox and tap the link in the email to confirm. Nothing is sent until you do.
Confirmed — you're in. At most one heads-up every two weeks, and only when something fits what you've been working through.
That confirmation link did not match anything. Sign up again below and a fresh one will come.
Tick the box beside the form — that is the sign-up.
That email did not look right — try again below.
Sign-up is briefly unavailable, or you have tried a few times in the last hour. Please try again in a little while.
You're unsubscribed — no more emails, on any of the three sites. Changed your mind? Sign up again any time; a confirmation email brings you back.
That unsubscribe link did not match anything. Use the link in your newest email, or the switch on your account page.
The list is closed right now, so there was nothing to confirm — and nothing will be sent.
I'm not running an email list at the moment, so there's nothing to sign up for here and nothing gets sent. If you joined before, the one-click unsubscribe link in any of the old emails still works — it takes you off all three sites.
New teaching material goes up here regularly — diagrams, drills, reference sheets and lessons. The list is how you hear about the ones that fit what you've been working through, without checking back: at most one email every two weeks, and nothing at all when there is nothing that fits. The signup form is in the footer of every page, including this one: tick the box, then confirm from your inbox.
What the list is
One address, kept for one reason: to tell you about tools that fit what you use — here, and on bentright.com and fieldcalc.net. It is never sold as a standalone list, and there is an unsubscribe link on everything that goes out. Be straight about one thing: this site, bentright.com and fieldcalc.net share one mailing list. Your signup records that it came from here, so the notes you get are about this material and the tools on those two sites that go with it — but the address itself sits in the same list the other two send from, and one unsubscribe takes you off all of it. What is stored and how to have it deleted is set out in the privacy note — including the address to write to if you would rather not wait for an unsubscribe link.
Nothing here needs an email
Every diagram, drill, lesson and sheet on this site works with no account and no address. The list is a convenience, not a gate. If you would rather keep your inbox to yourself, bookmark the apprentice path instead — it remembers where you are in your own browser.
While you are here
- Start here — the reading order for a brand-new apprentice, six stages.
- Wiring diagrams — fourteen circuits you can toggle and trace.
- Motor control course — twelve interactive lessons with a live ladder simulator.
- Practice drills — tape, fractions, Ohm's law, conversions, trade math.
- On the job — the parts of the trade that are not in a diagram.

A heads-up on tools that fit — by email, optional
Leave your email and tick the box for a short heads-up, at most every two weeks, about tools, drills and diagrams that fit what you've been working through — here and on bentright.com and fieldcalc.net. One list across the three, one click to leave, and nothing is sent until you confirm from your inbox.
